Here we have an incredibly rare bottle of Rum. Produced in Jamaica before 1945 and shipped in a large oak cask to Guernsey in 1947. The cask was stored and eventually bottled by Bucktrout's of Guernsey in 1985 on the occasion of the 40th Anniversary of Liberation Day 9th May 1985 marking the liberation of Guernsey from German occupation, hence the 'V' for Victory adorning the label.
The cask gave up 550 bottles at 54% ABV and this is bottle No 411.
Good fill level and label condition for an old bottling and it comes with the certificate of origin from Bucktrout's which is slightly creased and damp stained.
From the collection of a private seller.
