Matured first in the strong foundations of ex-rye whiskey casks and finished in a combination of ex-Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry quarter casks, this is the first distillery special release from 2021. The whisky boasts hints of peppery spice, almond, nuts and sweet fruit.
Every drop distilled, matured and bottled on the Isle of Raasay with its own unique number.
The small and sparsely populated Isle of Raasay' first legal distillery opened in 2017. The ambitious project was led by R&B Distillers, and saw the conversion of Borodale House into a distillery, visitor centre and hotel. In 2017 the fledgling business released its first bottles of young spirt and in winter 2020 the very first legal single malt Scotch whisky from the isle was launched.
The unique bottle features fossils and rocks from the island moulded into the glass.
