Torabhaig is the first whisky distillery to be built on the Isle of Skye in 190 years, and the second ever to be granted a licence to distil on the island. The distillery is housed in a converted 19th century farmstead fed by nearby burns Allt Breacach and Allt Gleann. The renovation project began in 2014 and three years later, in 2017, the first spirit flowed from the stills.
Torabhaig 2017 The Legacy Series, a heavily peated single malt matured in first-fill bourbon barrels and bottled at 46% ABV. This is Torabhaig's first bottling & this bottle is signed by the Distillery team.
