A highly collectible whisky from the now silent Chain Pier Distillery in Granton who produced the first single malt in Edinburgh for over a century. Unusually this distillery went silent before ever releasing a single drop of Scotch Whisky.
Crabbie owners Halewood were producing small amounts of single malt spirit at this pilot distillery between 2018 and 2019 while they were constructing the Bonnington distillery. Only 39 casks were ever produced at this distillery, distilled in a 500L copper pot still. This is the second cask to be released exclusively for Milroy's of Soho, a 2019 distillation matured for 3 years in an Australian Shiraz cask.
The cask yielded 290 bottles at a delicious 57.8% ABV & this is bottle No 225,
