Daftmill is a farm distillery. Owned and operated by the Cuthbert family, it only runs in the farm’s quiet periods; midsummer and winter, sometimes producing as few as 100 casks per year. When not distilling, Francis Cuthbert looks after the estate, growing the malting barley used to make this Lowland whisky.
Luvians is another Fife family business, run by the Fusaro brothers, whose friendship with the Cuthberts dates back to 1962! Together they chose this cask, Cask 89, a celebration of two families forging forward together.
Filled on a twinkling winter’s day on the 29th December 2006, this first fill bourbon barrel was the last full cask to be filled in 2006. It has been bottled exclusively for Luvians.
