The Teeling Whiskey company was established in 2012 by Jack Teeling, initially bottling casks he filled at his former Cooley distillery, which he retained as part of the deal after selling it to Beam Suntory in 2011. Joined by his brother Stephen, they then opened their own distillery in 2015. Teeling was the first whiskey distillery to open in Dublin for 125 years. This was the first whiskey bottled by the distillery from its own stills, in 2018. A single pot still release which was made available through an exclusive auction here at Whisky Auctioneer.
The Teeling Celebratory Single Pot Still was distilled from a recipe of 50% malted, and 50% un-malted barley, a uniquely Irish mashbill made famous by the Dublin distillers who's footsteps the Teeling distillery now follow in. It was distilled in 2015 and aged fully for three years in a high quality ex-Muscat barrel.
