Max McFarlane found a couple of special at Ardgowan but there was not enough liquid to produce the volumes required for their Clydebuilt Series, and so these casks were released as a limited-edition Discovery Series.
Discovery number 3 was the most limited of the 5 Discovery Series releases. The single refill sherry cask yielded just 320 bottles of precious 10 year old single malt.
